This is probably one of my most overdue blog posts yet! I am SO excited about this post. One of my favorite things to do is to head to Nashville for the day (we live a little less than an hour away!), try a new restaurant or coffee shop, walk around and of course, shop! There are ALWAYS new places popping up and I love trying them out and seeing what the vibe is like inside! I’m a total foodie so this is right up my alley. I have tried a fair share of the restaurants and coffee shops and will be sharing my all-time favs at the moment!

Whenever people I know go to Nashville, they will typically reach out and ask where they should go/what they should do there. I have also had bloggers and some followers reach out asking the same question! I really do take it as a compliment and thought it would be helpful to do a guide to Nashville, so people can refer back to it when traveling there!

This guide will be more so “what the locals do” and less of the touristy Broadway scene, since that is a given if you have never been! Broadway has such great live country music, bars and is always packed and is filled with tourists. If you love to dance and like hip hop and R&B music, the second floor in Whiskey Row is great. I rarely go to Broadway, unless I have friends or family in town that want to go. When we do go, the second floor of WR is my preference!

I will break it down into categories to make it easier to find places you want to go to!

Milk and Honey: Such a good place for both brunch and coffee. It’s ALWAYS swamped, so put your name in and walk around the Gulch for a little until your table is ready.

Proper Bagel: A super fun vibe filled with tons of bagels and an incredible assortment of cream cheese. The outdoor seating is especially fun in the summer. Oh and it’s totally IG worthy. Let’s be honest, most of these places included in this guide are.

Cafe Roze: The cutest little feminine cafe with healthy options and amazing lattes!

Slowhand Coffee: This one is newer in town and they are doing it right!! The pastries and  breakfast sandwiches are REALLY good.

Bartaco: Modern Mexican heaven. Their guac is my fave and I could actually eat their pork belly bowl It’s true. And their margs are good too! Outdoor seating is super fun in the summer, plus its on 12th south (a fun little neighborhood) so there’s lots of shops and such around.

Caviar and Bananas: One of my favorite places. It has so many options and the vibe and layout of the place is super cool. There are like different “stations” persay, and you go and get whatever you want (coffee bar, salad bar, sandwiches, apps and bar, etc.) I love it because everyone is happy and has lots of options to get what they want.

Nicolettes Italian Kitchen: Actual pasta heaven. The pasta is fresh and displayed in the casing for you to pick from. Its kind of a little hole in the wall that you won’t regret going to, promise!

Saint Anejo: Another fun modern Mexican spot! This one is in the Gulch and has a really good vibe. Plus, it’s not too far from LA Jackson if you want to pop over there for drinks after. The pitchers of margs are on point.

Sunda: This modern Asian cuisine also located in the gulch has been a fav for years. There was one in Chicago that I used to go to and then they just opened this one in Nashville last year. The Brussel sprout salad and the lychee martini are killer!

Tavern: The tavern has a little bit of everything making it perfect for a group to go to! Their chicken skewers, kale salad, and tavern fries are amazing!!

Nada: If you can’t tell yet… I love Mexican food haha! This is another Mexican restaurant located in west Nashville (right by Caviar and Bananas). Get the queso and a margarita. You will thank me later.

Posh: Hands down my favorite boutique in Nashville. They have some of my favorite brands and have a variety of feminine and edgy styles that I love! (the 21st location is the best)

UAL: Right across the street from one of the posh locations (on 21st). This store is a designer apparel liquidator. So, pretty much you will find some AMAZING brands and designer clothes and shoes for a fraction of the price. If you like to dig and find amazing deals this is for you.

Alexis and Bolt: Amazing Men and Women’s boutique with trendy and edgy clothes. The best part… they always have coffee or wine for you to drink while you shop! You can also find some cute home decor here!

Crue: A newer athleisure store that is to die for. I want everything.

Lemon Laine: My all-time fave store for clean beauty and wellness products. And the store is SO cute and fun.

LA Jackson: This rooftop bar is on the top of the Thompson hotel. The drinks super yummy and the views are incredible.

Diskin Cider: The best spot for day drinking. They have incredible ciders, and really good drinks in slushy machines. Also, their charcuterie board and food are good too. They have a little couch area and tons of tables for playing board games. Oh, and outdoor seating too!

Rambler Cocktail bar: This underground bar is new to Nashville and is a huge hit already!

Jeni’s Ice Cream: I could go multiple times a day if I could. (I actually have before, not sorry.) The smell when you walk in is enough to get me excited, but the flavors are all so unique.

Five Daughters: The best donuts and cronuts!! Oh, and it’s super IG worthy.

If you are planning to travel to Nashville and try these places out, I hope you love them as much as I do! Or if you aren’t planning on traveling to Nashville anytime soon, change that! It’s the perfect city for a weekend getaway with your guy or the girls!

If you try them out, please let me know! I would love to hear!
