I was online shopping a little while back and came across a dainty horoscope necklace that said “Leo”. I added it to my cart and didn’t think much about it besides that it was a dainty, gold necklace that I could layer. Anyways, I went ahead and purchased the necklace. It came in the mail a few days later and ever since that day I have been wearing it. After getting an abnormal amount of comments regarding the “Leo” necklace I thought it would be fun to write this post!

No, Leo is not my boyfriend, dog, or middle name. Yes, I was asked all of these! Haha!

I have never been the person that was super into following or reading about my horoscope, but I figured this would be a fun post to see the comparison!

**These below are from horoscope sites. My commentary is in parentheses**

“You can usually pick out a Leo woman from a crowd – she’s the one with the loudest laugh (obnoxiously loud, whoops), the brightest smile, and the most confident strut of them all. Ruled by the Sun, the center of the universe, this feline sign adores attention and usually gets it.”

“She is passionate, playful, and very lively. Occasionally hot-tempered, a Leo woman can and will get those claws out if you step out of line, so handle Kitty with care (hahaha I just laughed out loud. I would say it takes a lot for me to actually get angry, but when I do I’m pretty fiery)! When in a fiery mood, she is best soothed with compliments and spoiled with gifts (like coffee, a shopping spree, or a trip to whole foods if we’re being specific haha!). The lioness is intelligent, witty, strong and creative, which is why there are so many Leo women in the arts and entertainment industries (I would say most of these characteristics are pretty true, although I don’t see myself in arts and entertainment.)”

“The main characteristics of Leos are their zest for life and warm spirit. Admirers flock around their energy and enthusiasm. A Leo woman is typically a social butterfly.” (This depends on my mood and the environment. I have written a post before called Outgoing Introvert, which explains this in full detail!)

“There are no two ways about it for Leo women – it is an all-or-nothing deal. This intensity and passion, which manifests in every aspect of her life, has its greatest focus in her love life.” (I would definitely say that I am an all-or-nothing kinda gal in anything i do.)

“To treat your Leo woman, lavish her constantly with gifts and little presents – especially for no particular reason or holiday. A bouquet of flowers, her favorite scent, or even just some nail polish in a wacky shade or a new lipstick will please her.” (After reading “The Five Love Languages” I figured out my top love language is gifts, so this is pretty accurate. I definitely don’t need flowers, perfume, or what have you, but I always appreciate a note or cup of coffee every blue moon!)

“For centuries, society has dictated that men take the glory while women do much of the unseen and uncelebrated labor, and though we are all currently striving to break free of those outdated and unfair roles, sometimes human egos and our complicated personalities contrive to keep them in place. Leo women’s traits make them natural-born CEOs, leaders, and Bosses with a capital B, whereas sometimes Leo men rely on charisma, charm, and pizazz without the know-how or work ethic to back it up.
Ferociously hard workers, Leo ladies will attack a job with tooth and claw until it is complete. With their vividly creative characteristics, any career in art, performance, or theatre will suit them well.” (Once again, pretty accurate. I am very determined to produce work that I am proud of!)

It turns out that most of the characteristics for a Leo are ones that I would use to describe myself. Does your horoscope describe you pretty spot on as well??
