Getting coffee can get quite expensive these days. Let’s be real, I’m ballin on a budget and don’t want to spend the money to get a latte all the time. I noticed about a year ago how much money I was spending on coffee. It was too much. I still get coffee out when I go work at a coffee shop or go meet up with a friend, but just not everyday!
I was determined to make a super yummy latte at home that I loved just as much. After doing some research I decided to purchase the NESPRESSO MACHINE (so glad I did!). It is so easy to use and the espresso tastes so good! I am a huge fan of the vanillo pods, but I have tried just about all of them! It all depends on your preference in coffee; they have one for everyone!
Now to the ingredients! You will need espresso, your choice of milk (I use almond milk), VITAL PROTEINS COLLAGEN (added protein!), and a dash of cinnamon.
Typically in the summer I make iced lattes, and in the winter I make regular lattes. For iced lattes you don’t need a milk frother, but for a regular latte you do!
First things first: make the espresso! Then pour a scoop of collagen into the mug and stir until it dissolves (you can’t taste the unflavored collaged btw). Add the cinnamon and stir again. If you are making an iced latte, grab a larger glass and pour the espresso mixture in. Add your desired amount of almond milk + ice and start drinking with your stainless steel straw!
On the other hand, if you are making a hot latte, add your milk to the frother! Just a heads up, almond milk doesn’t get super foamy in comparison to regular milk, but it still tastes super good. Once the milk is frothed, add it to the mug with the espresso mixture and drink up!
Making lattes at home is so much cheaper and honestly, I like the taste of it better than buying one at a coffee shop. I also love that I know all of the ingredients I am consuming + I get a bit of extra protein to start off the day!
